During this term Primary 5 have been studying the Ancient Egyptians and all aspects of their lives. Most recently we have been interested to learn their alphabet and to have a go at writing our own names in hieroglyphics. To do this correctly the children made their own paper 'papyrus' and then wrote their name using hieroglyphics in the form of a nameplate 'a cartouche'. We hope you enjoy our gallery of names.
