This week there were lots of leaves in the yard during outdoor play. We had lots of fun throwing them up in the air and watching them float. We even made some ‘leaf angels’! We decided to look more carefully at the leaves - their colour, how they felt when we touched them and their weight. We painted autumn trees and added leaves using cotton buds and we did leaf rubbings. We thought of lots of words about leaves and used them to write our first class poem.
