Which Genre?

In Literacy we have been studying different genres, particularly Persuasive Writing and Recount Writing. We used our class novel, 'Under The Hawthorn Tree' as a focus for writing using these genres. We read about mum leaving to go and find dad and some people wrote a persuasive letter to mum and others wrote a recount after mum left.
